Finding God Between Waves?

My last post briefly discussed my lack of connection with God. While I was deployed, every night, we had evening prayer on the ship. Some of the prayers left lasting impressions on me. I would get in my rack and continue reflecting on those prayers. Sometimes, I would even talk to God throughout the day. I did not realize it then, but that’s where my journey toward developing a deeper spiritual connection began. I found myself journaling and praying more often. I would even talk to God randomly about everything, from minor to big things.
